It is the time of the year for bees to begin "hunting". Bees sting as a defense measure and the pain and swelling from bee stings can be a cause for concern.

Avoid things that attract bees.  Avoid fragrances and other sweet smells.  Don't wear bright colors or look like a flower patch.  Be careful with food and open cans of soda.  If a bee lands on your child, tell them to act like a "statue".  Hasty movements will triger the aggression in a bee.
